What Managed Hosting is
Managed hosting means the environment — server, runtime, security patching, backups, uptime monitoring and support — is handled entirely by us. For WordPress and similar builds, it is a tuned, hardened stack rather than generic shared hosting.
How Managed Hosting works
This is our done-for-you option, so “who runs it” has a simple answer: we do. We own the server, the runtime, the security patching, the backups, the uptime monitoring and the support line. The client never logs into a control panel, never applies an update, never worries whether last night’s backup ran — it is a tuned, hardened environment we look after so they can ignore it entirely.
Behind the scenes it is a deliberately built stack, not generic shared hosting — WordPress and content sites run on an environment tuned for them, with caching, sensible limits and monitoring that flags trouble before it becomes an outage. When something needs attention, it is a real person at the studio who fixes it, usually before the client has noticed. Peace of mind is the product.
Where it earns the shortlist
Managed hosting earns the shortlist whenever a client wants hosting handled entirely for them — most do, and most should. It is the right home for WordPress and content sites that need a tuned, secure, monitored environment, and for businesses that value predictable pricing and a real person to call over maximum technical control. It is the backbone of our recurring hosting service.

When teams choose it — and when they don’t
Choose Managed Hosting when
You want it handled for you
We own the server, patching, backups and monitoring end to end.
It is a WordPress or content site
A tuned, hardened environment built for the stack, not generic shared hosting.
You value predictable pricing
A flat recurring plan with no surprise infrastructure bills.
You want a real person to call
Support from the studio that built the site, not an offshore ticket queue.
Look elsewhere when
You need root access
Custom server software or full control points to a VPS instead.
It is a modern front end
A Next.js or static build belongs on the edge — Vercel or Cloudflare.
Procurement mandates a cloud
An existing AWS, Azure or GCP contract means deploying to your own infrastructure.
Pricing, in plain terms
Managed hosting is our own recurring service, priced as a flat monthly or annual plan that bundles the server, patching, backups, monitoring and support — no metered surprises. Plans scale with the size and demands of the site rather than per-request usage, and most brochure and content sites sit comfortably at the lower end. We quote the plan alongside the build so the running cost is clear from day one.
The SmartaStudio take
Managed hosting is what we recommend to most clients, because most clients neither want to think about servers nor should have to. We patch it, back it up, watch it and fix it before it becomes their problem, on a price they can predict. The honest caveat is that it trades maximum control for peace of mind — if you need root access or your own cloud, that is a VPS or your own infrastructure, which we are equally happy to set up and manage. For everyone else, this is the quiet, reliable default.
